IOSH 10 Overview

Last week saw our first exhibition of the year, the IOSH 2010 Conference & Exhibition in Glasgow. The worries had been whether the economy was showing enough signs of recovery to justify people taking time out to travel and visit. Thankfully we needn't have worried, with a great turn out and an amazing level of support and interest for Good to Go Safety. A big thank you to all those that visited our stand throughout the two days.

On the first day we provided a 20 minute presentation to a packed Spotlight Theatre, entitled "How an Effective Checklist System can Reduce the Impact of Human Factors on Equipment Inspections". Anyone wishing to receive a copy of the Powerpoint presentation can request a free copy here. It was like the Charge of the Light Brigade when the presentation finished as our stand was hit with a deluge of interested parties.

The final day was started with a surreal breakfast in the hotel. As I sat with my coffee, I noticed the guy on the table next to me looked uncannily like Sven. As he was joined by Mr T, Simon Cowell, Marilyn Monroe, Snoop Dog, Ricky Gervais and Gordon Ramsey I soon realised I was either drunk or there was a look-a-like convention occuring at my neighbouring breakfast table.

A bizarre start to the final day of the exhibition, but another rewarding one. A big thank you to all those that took the time to visit us, it is reassuring to hear such positive feedback for our product from those that matter. We will be following up the many leads taken as requested over the course of this week. For anyone that missed the IOSH show, you may be interested to know that we will be exhibiting again at the NEC in May at the Safety and Health Expo.
